KENNEL BIO
Rocky Acres Kennels LLC. was started in summer 2022 to meet the needs of the canine and feline population in the Deer River/Grand Rapids area. There was a demand for more doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming options.
The facility offers a variety of services- doggie daycare, boarding, bathing, and grooming. We like to consider ourselves a one stop shop for our customers ease! Boarding kennels are spacious and offer raised beds for your dog’s comfort. Boarding cats are housed in cat condos.
Daycare is operated five days a week and available to both boarding dogs and the public. The daycare dogs spend supervised time in the fenced outdoor play area on days that weather permits. On bad weather days, the dogs romp in our indoor play space.
MEET THE OWNERS
Rocky Acres Kennels, LLC. is owned and operated by Colt & Lyndsay Anderson. Colt wanted to invest his time in a career he was truly passionate about so we decided opening our own kennel may be the answer. After raising multiple litters of beautiful Golden Retrievers and British Labs, we knew we wanted to work with dogs full time.
Whether we are hunting, fishing or just spending time in the outdoors, our dogs are right by our side enjoying life with us. We have one son, his name is Odie, along with 5 dogs, Dexter, Darby, Maggie, Nellie & Bonnie. Safe to say Odie has quite the pack to protect him. We look forward to getting to know our customers and their pets!
